How To Coach Your Strikers To Be The First Line Of Defence.

Scoring goals will help your team win more games, however when your team lose the ball and the opposition goal keeper has the ball you can make play predictable and win it back higher up the pitch.

In order to do this your strikers need to work together. They need to take up a good starting position and then make two crucial runs once the goal keeper is tempted to play the ball.

In this soccer video we'll discuss how your team can take up a position to tempt the keeper to play a ball out to the full backs and then what runs the strikers should make to put the full back under pressure and cut out the three remaining defensive players.

Discover now how two strikers can and understand :

  1. the importance of their starting position
  2. the angle of the first strikers run and where to make it
  3. why the run needs to be aggressive
  4. the co-ordination of the two strikers and the second strikers movement
  5. how the opponents defensive line gets cut out and a ball into midfield is no longer an option as well
  6. where the only area your opponents can play the ball

... this is the first part in a series, in later video updates we'll explain how your midfield and defensive line should position themselves to squeeze the play even further and win the ball back.

Watch the video now.
