How to coach heading safely.

Overcoming the fear factor! It's natural, if any other missile was flying your way, you would want to duck and get out of the way, wouldn't you?

It's the same for your players, not getting hurt is primary in their thoughts and it should be in your as well. In this section, we don't ignore heading as a technique and bury our heads in the sand. We feel that heading can be coached from the very start, providing common sense prevails and appropriate kit is used.

A range of techniques from attacking heading to defensive heading is contained in the pages of this area. Excellent drills for technique and skill development are backed up with multi media illustrations so that you can coach your players safely.
