Maintaining a soccer team or club requires a reasonable amount of money, there will be assistance from parents and guardians in terms of subs, but what about new kit and equipment?

Some clubs focus on money coming in and don�t take too much time to give back to the community or individual contributors. 

Anyone who sponsors your team should receive something in return, whether you organise a news story for the local paper, provide a framed team photo, advertise their company in match day programmes or wear their club logo on shirts.

There are other ways of raising funds than getting a sponsor and we�ve found that some examples below can actually galvanise team spirit and a sense of satisfaction as the team have achieved it.

Some examples to raise funds are:

1. Flea market or car boot sale
2. Team t-shirts, caps, pens, mugs, key rings etc
3. Provision of tea, coffee, food on match days
4. Car wash day
5. Sponsored walk
6. Sponsored ball 'keepy uppy'
7. Raffle
8. Supermarket bag pack

We have undertaken all of the above over the years that we have been involved in junior and youth soccer.
