Home | Tip of the Week | Every training session should be a lesson le . . .

Every training session should be a lesson learned for the coach!

Every training session should provide valuable learning for the players and also the coach.

You must be continually alert and develop your analytical skills to new problems and ways to deal with them.

Prepare each session carefully; consider not only the content of the session but what techniques you intend to deploy.

Sometimes, start the training session with a small sided game, pull out a couple of learning points and then conduct your training session around your observations.

Be prepared for uneven numbers; as much as we would all like it there are occasions when you wont have a full squad of players at your disposal for training.

Any amount of preparation with equally sided games is immediately disrupted with the absence of one player.

Dont worry, adapt your plan and try to have a plan B tucked up your sleeve.
